GoalsWelcome to the Safe Harbour Youth Ambassador Diversity Program, a BC-wide program that engages youth in creating a welcoming environments for diversity in their schools and communities. AMSSA coordinates the program with communities to provide training and resources to high school youth, developing their skills and shaping them into being ‘ambassadors for diversity.’ Youth Ambassadors facilitate of Children Safe Harbour Workshops in local elementary schools and community settings.

Youth Ambassador is founded on the concepts of Safe Harbour, a provincial program coordinated by AMSSA which seeks to build community understanding and support of diversity, including providing a safe place for people facing racism and hate.

Youth Ambassadors, and the younger Diversity Stars whom they train, demonstrate leadership in understanding and supporting diversity - which creates safer, more inclusive environments within their schools and communities.
